Finding God's Kingdom In Reality

I grew up in a devout religious family. I attended religious school with religion classes and Mass every school day. I observed all holidays by attending Mass. I faithfully received the sacraments regularly for years.

At the age of 16 I began to have questions concerning the religion I was in. The priests could not answer my questions in a way that satisfied me. At the age of 19 my older brother, who met with the local churches, presented the gospel to me and I received the Lord Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

As a new believer I began to read the Bible. I began to realize that to be a believer was to be a member of the Body of Christ. The Word of God revealed there should be no division in His Body. Within me, I felt a great conflict.

At last the answer came through the reading of the Word of God. In Matthew 6:9 I read, “Your Name be sanctified, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Through this verse I realized that the Lord had called me to meet with people who would sanctify His Name (His Person) on the earth in oneness.

My experience among the believers in the local church was that His name was being sanctified by their love of the pure Word and their practice of that Word in oneness. I was seeing, on earth, the kingdom in practice among a group of believers. Their living and practice confirmed the Lord’s leading within me to sanctify His name in oneness with all believers.
